Miranda Weslake Selected To U14 Girls National Team Pool
Miranda Weslake has been selected to the U14 Girls National Team Pool after a strong showing at the 95 Girls Region Camp.  Miranda will now attend the National Team Training Camp at the University of Portland, July 31st to August 6th.  Players selected for the National Team Pool are eligible for several high profile events and training camps throughout the year in addition to the initial training camp.

Miranda is a member of the SC United Mt. Pleasant 96 Girls Elite team that just won the SCYSA U13 State Cup Title to secure a Region 3 Premier League spot for the U14 spring season.  She was an integral part of the team winning the Charleston Select Shootout playing up a year, the CESA Fall Classic, the CESA Fall Challenge playing up a year, and winning the Jefferson Cup in the spring.  In addition, she guest played this past spring with the SC United Mt. Pleasant 96 Boys Elite as they captured the Concorde Fire Cup Championship this past spring.

Director of Coaching and Miranda’s 96 Girls Elite team coach Kian Brownlee said of Miranda, “Miranda is a tireless worker and has passion and enthusiasm for training.  She is always seeking the next level of play.  She has become one of my team’s most technically improved players this past year and her hard work has certainly paid off to earn her this National Team Pool selection.  Wherever we have traveled and played, even against the best in the country she has been one of the most dangerous players on the field at all times with her willingness to run at and take on defenders.  I am very proud of her accomplishment as are her teammates and club.”

Congratulations to Miranda!
