9/13 Richmond Strikers-4 BFA-3
Bridge FA was defeated 4-3 in the second game at Charleston Southern Univ. by Richmond.  BFA opened up the scoring as Justin Watson scored on a great individual run from the right flank assisted by Dan Riley.  Richmond responded with 3 first half goals to take the lead 3-1 into the locker room at halftime with the last goal coming off a header just before half time on a set piece.  BFA would cut the score to 3-2 on another Justin Watson goal.  Richmond pulled ahead 4-2 on a goal by Richmond striker Will Bates giving him 3 on the day.  Bobby Belair pulled BFA back 4-3 on a tremendous volley from 30 yards that the Richmond goalkeeper had no chance.  BFA put the pressure on but could not get the equalizer on the day.
“Will Bates was the difference in the game.  He proved today why he was an All-Conference U18 selection last season and his prior experience at the National level was evident as he made the most of his opportunities.  We look forward to a return match with the Strikers in January as they will be dangerous team all year with Bates at forward states Brisson”.
